About the Blog

Growing up in NY you are expected to be either a Mets or Yankees fan but I decided I wanted to be different. For some reason I decided to be a Pirates fan. Pirates? Yeah the Pirates. Those were the last glory days of baseball in the steel city. Drabek, Van Slyke, Bonilla, Alou, and Bell donned the black and yellow as well as a young Barry Bonds. In 1993 Bonds left for the left coast, forever cursing the Pirates who haven't had a winning season since. I followed my favorite player to Candlestick and I've been a Giant fan ever since. It's not easy being a baseball Giant fan in NYC and staying connected with the team. Thus the blog. What started out to be a SF Giants blog slowly evolved into a blog focused on the Giants farm system. Follow me on Twitter where I send daily updates on the minor league players as well as game recaps. I've just completed my first interview and hopefully it's the first of many to come. And don't be shy, I'm open to suggestions on content.
